Why looking after your own and your team’s wellbeing can help improve your positivity and performance.

7 needs of wellbeing

Dear members,

Those who were able to attend the online Wellbeing and Resilience webinar last night with Suki Thompson and David Beeney from Let’s Reset were treated to a very informative interactive meeting. Thank you to our members and guests who talked so frankly and openly about the problems of dentistry in times of Covid, and the optimism that was apparent as well.

It was not possible to record the meeting for those of you who couldn’t attend because of GDPR, but we would like to share the QR code for The Seven Needs of Wellbeing and Performance with you instead.

Participants last night found this particularly illuminating and helpful.

With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year

The events of 2020 have changed how we do business for good, it’s given us new ways of working to adapt to, and accelerated the need for us all to have a greater focus on wellbeing both in and out of work. You can have all the right skills, knowledge and behaviours, but without your health, energy and positivity  you cannot and will not perform at your best.

As dental surgeries in Devon cope with a second wave of lockdowns, now is the time to build both your own energy and resilience, and that of your teams, as we return to a new working pattern.

Using stories from the 82 business leaders in her book, LET’S RESET, Suki Thompson and David Beeney  will share vulnerable, courageous and authentic experiences of their own and those leaders,  with portraits by the International photographer, Rankin on what can be done to keep a balance of work and life as we learn to live with Covid-19.

They will share the Let’s Reset theory of the new hierarchy of needs and the 7 basic needs of wellbeing, and performance to provide a framework, with tools & tips to help you improve your energy and positivity and how to turn this focus into happier, healthier and more positive dental professionals and staff in the Devon Independent Practitioners’ Group
